On the Relationship of NCCYS to the American Sport Education Program (ASEP)

NCCYS has entered the arena of Coaches education with a series of Catholic Coaching Essentials on-line courses geared to help coaches teach Gospel values to young people through sports. Coaches have an amazing opportunity to make a positive difference in the lives of the millions of youth who play sports in Catholic settings across the United States and beyond. The young people entrusted to our care deserve the best we have to offer through sports experiences that intentionally teach and model Catholic morals and values.

By partnering with the American Sport Education Program (ASEP) in publishing Catholic Coaching Essentials, NCCYS has gone with the best online coaches training organization in the United States. Our partnership with ASEP is a great way to reach and teach Catholic coaches how to use athletic programs to model and teach Catholic values.

Catholic parish and school sports leaders should make the move to help their coaches get trained soon. We believe that our sports are an extension of parish and school life and that our coaches are ministering to student-athletes on behalf of the faith community. Our coaches spend a great deal of time with young people and therefore need to grow in their role as leaders of faith and as Christian witnesses. The online training allows coaches to learn at times that work with their busy schedules while also rooting them in a Catholic perspective of youth sports.

Register now at ASEP's website to help your coaches grow in faith while evangelizing young people through sports.
